Common Questions
Anna works with Gmail and Google Calendar from the start, and you sign up with a Google account. After that you can add more Google accounts, your Outlook email and calendar, iCloud, Yahoo and most other email, your iCloud calendar, WhatsApp, and school portals you sign in to on the web. Some other apps connect with a sign-in link Anna sends you, so ask about the one you use. For an app Anna can't connect to, she works from the emails it sends, or from a screenshot you forward.
Google Calendar works from day one, in both directions. Your iCloud calendar comes in once you connect your iCloud email, and your Outlook calendar comes in when you connect Outlook with a Microsoft sign-in. If your work calendar is Google, add your work account as a second Google account in Settings and Anna sees your work meetings, so she can spot one landing on school pickup. Its inbox comes in too, so check your employer is fine with that. Sharing a work calendar into your personal Google calendar usually doesn't work, so connect the work account itself. If your work calendar is Outlook or Microsoft 365, Anna can add your work address as a guest on family events once you say yes, so they land in Outlook like any other invite. There's nothing for your IT team to set up.
Not without your say-so. Anna does the legwork and asks before anything goes out. She drafts an email and shows it to you, and it's sent from your email only after you say yes. A message to someone else goes out after your yes, from Anna's own number, introduced as your assistant. On a website, Anna can fill in a booking or an order and waits for your yes before the final step, unless you've told her she needn't ask for that kind of booking or order. Nothing is paid without your approval, and Anna doesn't make phone calls.
Yes. Anna is free for 14 days, with every feature. After that it's one plan: US$20/month, or US$192/year, which works out to US$16/month. Prices are set in US dollars, and you can cancel anytime.
Anna reads only the accounts you connect and what you send her. When you connect Google, Google shows you what Anna is asking for before you agree. Your family's data is encrypted, stored securely and never sold. You can disconnect an account whenever you like. Yes. Search for Anna Family Assistant on the App Store or Google Play. You can also sign up and use Anna entirely in a browser. It's the same account everywhere, so you can tell Anna something on your phone at school pickup and see the plan on your laptop later.
Yes to both. You link Anna to your WhatsApp once, the same way you'd link WhatsApp Web on a laptop. She then reads your chats alongside you, including your family and school groups, because that's where the pickup change and the party invite usually turn up. You can tell her which chats to leave alone, she never posts in your groups, and you can unlink her from WhatsApp's linked devices at any time. You can text Anna by iMessage or RCS from any country. Anna can't read the texts or iMessages other people send you, so forward one or send a screenshot and she'll pull out the dates.
